Born in Victoria, Texas, Ms. Schovajsa earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston. She is admitted to practice before all state courts in Texas, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Maritime Law Association and the Defense Research Institute.

Ms. Schovajsa joined the Firm in 1998 and became a partner in 2003. Since joining the Firm, Ms. Schovajsa's practice has been concentrated on defense of personal injury and wrongful death cases involving seamen, longshoremen, offshore workers and passengers. In addition, Ms. Schovajsa is experienced in defense of shoreside industrial and oilfield casualty cases. Her litigation experience has involved a variety of high-profile catastrophic casualties in both state and federal court.
