The firm's Senior Partner, Robert C. Davee is a native of Brady, Texas. He graduated with a B.S. degree from the U.S. Navy Officer's Training Program at the University of New Mexico. Following service on various military vessels, he was selected for the Navy Destroyer Type Engineer School, and upon completion he served for three years as both Chief Engineer and bridge watch officer onboard the U.S.S. H.J. THOMAS.

After leaving the Navy, Mr. Davee attended law school at the University of Texas, and upon graduation began his forty-two year maritime law career with Eastham, Watson, Dale & Forney. He is licensed to practice law in all Texas State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a Life Member of the Maritime Law Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, the Propeller Club of the Port of Houston, of which he is past president, and numerous other organizations.

Mr. Davee has a distinguished reputation as an admiralty law practitioner, having been involved in almost every conceivable type of maritime litigation, including most of the major marine casualties which have occurred in the U.S. Gulf over the past forty years. These include the BURMA AGATE, the Tug BETH and MEGA BORG catastrophes. He has enjoyed a long and special relationship with Scandinavian vessel owners and underwriters, and has acted as advisor to various domestic and foreign owners and underwriters.
