Mr. Durham focuses his practice on commercial and non-personal injury maritime cases. These include trials of cargo claims, charter party disputes (both in Federal Court and in arbitration), collision cases, contract disputes and all types of property damage claims. Mr. Durham has argued numerous cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as various United States District Courts. Mr. Durham has been published on maritime procedures in the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. As part of Mr. Durham's practice, he has been involved in major casualties including the M/T MAASGUSAR off of Japan (1989), the M/T MEGA BORG off of Galveston (1990), the M/T SETA in the Port of Houston (1991) and the M/T OMI CHARGER off of Galveston (1993). In addition to maritime cases, Mr. Durham has been involved in other commercial cases including multiparty property damage claims and antitrust litigation. In his practice, Mr. Durham represents the interests of P&I Clubs, marine underwriters, vessel owners and operators, stevedores and other commercial interests.
